The Enduring Ice Project
May 21, 2020
The Enduring Ice expedition is a spotlight on the Arctic Ocean and the natural systems that keep the Earth cool. An inventive fusion of film and interactive media, the project explores the connections between distant polar seas and prevailing shifts in global climate. Its goal is to spark curiosity and engagement by providing learning experiences that can tug at human emotions.
Director, Stephen Smith, approached Color by LookLabs to enhance this journey through the color grade by creating a consistent look from footage shot on GoPro, Panasonic AG-DVX200 and GH5 cameras. As always, we love the challenge of dialing in multiple cameras and creating one beautiful and consistent look.
Like the Mars rover relaying its first images back to earth, the Enduring Ice expedition opens a window to the otherworldly and fantastical Arctic. Get a taste for the expedition and the color grade for the completion of this feature documentary in this vignette.
